Cancellation / Rebooking Policy

UPDATE - OCTOBER 1ST, 2023:

In order to serve our patients better, we have implemented a new cancellation policy. Please see below:

Your scheduled appointment has been reserved just for you!

At Island Roots, we understand that there are times when you must miss an appointment due to emergencies or other obligations. Unfortunately when we do not receive adequate notice, we are unable to schedule another patient who may need urgent dental care.

Therefore we require that you give our office a minimum 48 hours notice if you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment. Our office will contact you with a number of reminders prior to your appointment.

EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 1ST, 2023:

Our cancellation policy is as follows:

  • Cancelling or rescheduling of an appointment with 48 hours or more notice = no charge.

  • 1st missed or late rescheduled appointment (less than 48 hours) = no charge as a courtesy.

  • To book a 2nd appointment, we will require a deposit of $100.00. When you come in for your 2nd appointment, this deposit can either be refunded to you or put towards your treatment cost. The deposit will need to be paid before we schedule your 2nd appointment. Payments can be made over the phone, in person, or by sending an e-transfer.

  • In the event that your 2nd appointment is missed or rescheduled with less than 48 hours notice, the deposit will be forfeited.

Please note that insurance companies do not cover this fee; therefore, payment is the patient’s or guardian’s responsibility.

Island Roots reserves the right to not book future appointments for patients who continually cancel or reschedule appointments.

We appreciate your understanding in this matter!
